Last night, the Titan was hosting their eternal rivals the Moncton Wildcats.
In the first period, both teams gave us some excellent hockey with plenty of scoring chances as the shots indicate, 14-12 for the Titan. Patrik Zdrahal (4th), on the power play, gave the home team an early lead. The visitors tied things up halfway thru the period but Brandon Hynes (7th), once again on the power play, gave Acadie-Bathurst a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes played.
The Wildcats had an edge in the second period, especially in shots, 16-5. Alec Jon Banville (3rd), with 46 played in the second, gave the Titan a 3-1 lead. The Wildcats put lots of pressure on the Titan after Banville’s goal and scored to cut the Titan’s lead to one goal. Jacob Brennan stood up like a wall in front of all the Moncton attacks and protected the one goal lead after 2 periods.
During the 3rd period, Moncton tried everything to score on the Titan goalie but to no avail. The Titan won the game 3-2 and managed to get back on the winning track after 4 straight losses.
Jacob Brennan was excellent during this game with 37 saves. Christophe Lalancette collected 2 assists and Sean Girard had 5 hits.
Titan next home game will be this Friday, November 2nd as they will be hosting Patrick Roy and his Québec Remparts.
