The Moncton Wildcats traded to the Shawinigan Cataractes this morning Alexander Centis-Jorge in exchange for the 7th round pick for the 2014 Draft. Centis-Jorge was a 3rd round pick during the 2011 Draft. The 17 year old right winger is 5’11’’ and weighs 185lbs. He played for two seasons with the Montreal-Laval Rousseau-Royal in the Midget AAA.
In a second trade, the Cataractes acquired from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies goaltender Jeffrey Noonan in exchange for the 13th round pick of 2014. Noonan, the Huskies’ 2nd round choice in 2009, played 28 games with the team last season.
Finally, the Quebec Remparts sent to the Halifax Mooseheads their 2nd round pick in 2013 (acquired by Baie-Comeau), in return for Halifax’s 3rd round pick in 2013.
