Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that 17-year-old defensemen Jean Simon Deslauriers has left the team.
The 5’11” 165-pound Trois-Rivières native has decided to take some time to reevaluate his future in hockey. Deslauriers was the Screaming Eagles first round pick in 2011 (12th overall) and had 1 goal and 7 assists in 54 career games with the screaming eagles.
The Screaming Eagles play their next home game Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
