(LONGUEUIL, Monday November 17, 2003) - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced this afternoon that a change has been brought in the QMJHL roster for the game to be played in Halifax Thursday November 20, in the RE/MAX Canada - Russia Challenge.
The very talented Marc-Antoine Pouliot of the Rimouski Oceanic will not be able to participate in the first game of the RE/MAX Canada - Russia Challenge this Thursday in Halifax. Indeed, he was recently injured and will have to remain away from the game for an undetermined period of time. Pouliot who belongs to the Edmonton Oilers will thus be replaced by Benoit Mondou, centre player of the Shawinigan Cataractes. He is currently the thirteenth best scorer of the QMJHL and first of his team with 12 goals, 19 assists for a total of 31 points in 25 games.
Should Benoît Mondou also play Monday November 24 in Rimouski in replacement of Marc-Antoine Pouliot, then a press release will be issued to confirm the situation.
